december date ideas

  1. ICE SKATING at WOLLMAN RINK - I’ve lived in New York for five years, have figure skates sitting in my closet, and have still never been ice skating here. Naturally, it must be followed with frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity.

  2. THE GREENS on THE ROOFTOP AT PIER 17 - Award-winning seasonal cocktails and comfort food inside a private (and socially distanced) glass cabin.

  3. ANGELINA PARIS - The best hot chocolate in Paris makes its North American debut. Conveniently located near the Bryant Park skating rink.

  4. IGLOO BAR at 230 FIFTH - Another cliche but cute thing I’ve never done, that just so happens to be perfectly within social distancing guidelines.

  5. ICE SKATING at THE STANDARD, HIGH LINE - Before or after living out our exhibitionist fantasies (see item #1). Can you tell I’m dying to go ice skating yet?

  6. HOLIDAY NOSTALGIA TRAIN at THE TRANSIT MUSEUM - Holiday-themed vintage trains complete with vintage ads.

  7. HOLIDAY TRAIN SHOW at the NYBG - I went last year and it was more captivating than I expected!

  8. WEEKEND STAYCATION at The WILLIAM VALE - Book the Vale Garden Residence, and we can go rooftop ice skating, followed by relaxing in our private balcony hot tub, christening every surface of the 1300 sq ft penthouse and 1600 sq ft balcony, and treatments at their outdoor spa and sauna.

  9. NUTCRACKER ROUGE - In previous years, we could see this in person, but this year it gets a little more intimate with a streaming series and DIY cocktail recipes.

  10. YURTS at THE STANDARD, EAST VILLAGE - What could be more erotic than feeding each other fondue in a private (socially distanced) heated yurt?
